It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Harry Shyshka on August 13, 2013 in Nanaimo B.C . A loving husband and father, he will be greatly missed by his surviving spouse Patricia Alice Shyshka, children Timothy, Sydney, Jodian, Amy-Jo and his grandchildren Cory, Adam, Caleb, Jacob, and great grandchild Madison. Harry was born in a small town, Porcupine plain Saskatchewan to parents Joseph and Pauline on Oct 29, 1935. He was one of 10 siblings and is survived by Mike, Laura, Sylvia, Anne and Mary. Harry moved to the West coast for work in 1952 where he met and married his sweetheart Patricia in 1957, they settled in Nanaimo where they raised a family and he worked as a faller for over 50 years. He was also an avid curler and liked baseball. He was affectionately known as the "pickle man" as he loved to make pickles and sauerkraut. Harry was never at a loss for a new business venture, he was always busy with one project or another even after his retirement from falling in 1996. He was a very giving man who always had with a joke to tell along with a quick smile and jovial personality. We will miss you, and LOVE you very much! Memorial Service for Harry is being held at the -Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6011 Doumont Road , Nanaimo B.C on August 24,2013 at 3:00p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
