Harrison's obituary
Harrison Tramel, born on April 26, 1954 in southeast Oklahoma passed away on September 8, 2023. Beloved for his playful personality and profound love for his family, Harrison perpetuated laughter and joy through his spirited jokes and pranks. His innate wisdom echoed notably through his laughter, earnest storytelling and bible readings. Harrison retired from Weyhauser Paper (Logging) in Oklahoma.
Harrison is survived by an extended family who cherished him dearly. Harrison loved his sister Lili's pork chops, mashed potatoes and biscuits. Harrison was overwhelmed with sadness of leaving his daughters Tonya Tramel, Tasha Rivera of Henryetta, OK and many grandchildren, but left them in the hands of God. His siblings, Calvin Tramel of Norman, AR, Lili Whyte of Colorado Springs, CO and Wanda Ayers of Kirkland, WA and many nephews and nieces reminisce his laughter and jovial pranks fondly. Harrison's cousins Gary/ Lisa/Minnie Mote, Phyllis/Leon Tims, and Johnny/Bobby Foley celebrate his memory and the joy he brought into their lives.
Amidst the sorrow of loss, Harrison is lovingly remembered by many. His joys in life brought a unique flavor to his personality. A notable fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd hits like "Simple Man" and "Free Bird," as well as "These Eyes" by the Guess Who --all he found solace and inspiration in music, more specifically, "Amazing Grace." He spent his leisure hours indulging in his favorite TV shows, simple pleasure of playing online pool and fishing were his preferred pastimes. Pulling pranks was another of Harrison's favorite activities, always performed with a good-natured spirit and infectious laughter.
Harrison was predeceased by his parents Lee W Tramel and Mary E Tramel. His siblings Harvey Tramel, James Tramel, Mary DeSpain, Martha Bowling, Joe Tramel and Dan Tramel also preceded him in passing. Despite the loss, Harrison's memories remain with his loved ones, nurturing peace and reminiscing joy.
Harrison's favorite local haunt was the lake, a calming retreat for him. Colorado, his preferred vacation spot, held a special place in his heart. Known for his childhood memories of family, Harrison could recall memories of long ago when others could not.
Harrison was very close with his cousins Gary & Lisa Mote who cared for him until he got his wings.
As we bid farewell to Harrison, we remember in his last years, he became very private dedicating his love to God who he loved and trusted most. A man who contributed to our lives significantly with moments of joy, memories of laughter, and lessons of kinship.
