Harriett's obituary

Memorial services for Harriett L. Lansford will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at First Christian Church in Bartlesville, OK.
At the time of her passing at The Journey Home, on August 31st, 2021, she was surrounded by her children and the enduring love they had for her.
Harriett was born August 27, 1930, in Belle, MO, to Ed and Sarah Elizabeth (White) Luster. She lived in Belle, graduating from Belle High School in 1948. She married Oris Lansford, the love of her life, in Belle, MO on July 17, 1949. They shared a life of deep and abiding love for sixty-one years.
The Lansford family moved to Bartlesville, OK in 1957, where they made their home, raised their four children, and brought them to know the Lord at the First Christian Church. Harriett was a member of the First Christian Church for over sixty years, serving as deacon, and on numerous committees and boards to help guide the direction of their church.
Mrs. Lansford was a stay-at-home mother until her children were Jr. High/High School age, when she went to work for Dr. Richard Grisham, as office manager, retiring in 1988.
She was an extraordinary wife and mother, supporting all of the many family and school activities Oris and her children were involved with over the years.
Harriett impacted so many lives in Bartlesville. She was a pillar of strength to her family and all those who knew her. She faced many tests in her life and responded to all of them with courage and resoluteness. Harriett lived every day with her feet planted firmly on the rock of her unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior.
Oris and Harriett were fixtures at the American Legion ballpark for many seasons, attending so many games they didn't even bother to take their lawn chairs home, rather just folding them and leaning them against the wall of their favorite box until the next game. They were once honored by the team between innings at a game for their long-term loyalty to the program.
Those left behind to cherish her memory and continue her legacy include son, Doug (Vicki) of Round Rock, TX; son, Randy (Marie) of Harrah, OK; daughter Debbie of Bartlesville; daughter-in-law Lisa of Missouri City, TX; eight grandchildren, Scott (Lacey) Lansford, Reid Lansford, Duston (Jenny) Lansford, Drew Lansford, Devon (Nicole) Lansford, Chase (Stephanie) Lansford, Cole Lansford, and Courtney (Aaron) Damm; two step grandchildren, Linsay (Leo) Ferreira and Rachelle (Chris) Richardson; and fourteen great grandchildren, Sawyer and Scarlett Lansford, Caden and Madison Lansford, Thomas and Brooks Lansford, Elliott and Nolan Lansford, Owen and Nora Damm, Alexander and Olivia Ferreira, and Gavin and Blake Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oris, sister LaBurns Carney of Rolla, MO, and son Kyle Lansford of Missouri City, TX.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the support given by the Journey Home and the staff of Comforting Hands Hospice. The tender care and kindness they brought to her during this difficult time were immeasurable. They were angels on earth in her time of need.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The Journey Home, 900 NE Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006.
