Ms. Harriet Pennington, 75, of Chantilly, VA, peacefully passed away on March 27, 2015 surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with [pneumonia].

Harriet was born on August 13, 1939 to [parents] in the bustling city of [Arlington]. After Harriet graduated from [Mt. Vernon High School] in [1957], she pursued a degree in [teaching] at [Virginia Commonwealth University].

After graduation, she worked in [teaching] for over [20 years]. Harriet was passionate about [being a teacher] and loved what she did for a living.

In [1966], she met [Ronald] at [Alexandria City Hall]. [Ronald & Harriet] went on to have [1 child], [Phillip].

Harriet retired in [1983] after [22 years] in the field. While retired, Harriet had time to pursue her love of [teaching].

Harriet was predeceased by [list of family members who have passed away]. She is survived by [list of family members who are still alive]. Services will be held at [Aldersgate Methodist Church] on [April 6, 2015] at [1:10 PM]. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to [Bob Pennington].
