Harold Edward Rehfeldt II, known as Bubby a nickname his mother Alice gave him was a husband, father, uncle, and friend to many. Dad lived life on his own terms never owing to anyone. He was generous in some aspects of his life and some not so much. He would try to make or build s opposed to buying whether it was furniture or a pair of shoes. Dad leaves behind his wife Michele Rehfeldt and children Christine Rehfeldt, Lori Rehfeldt and partner Susan Thomas, Donna Rehfeldt Schreiber and her spouse Edward Schreiber, Harold Edward Rehfeldt III who followed in Dad’s footsteps by being a master carpenter, Colleen Merz and her spouse Christopher Merz, Courtney Alexander and Nick Rehfeldt. Dad shared with me that he loved his wife and she took good care of him. He noted many times that his son Nicholas was brilliant and could fix his electronic issues, and he told me how Donna brightened his days by visiting and taking him out and about. Dad was what you see is what you get kind of guy, he never minced his words and in some cases to a fault. One thing we knew was that he loved deeply and was committed to his life partner Michele. The last time I saw Dad was visiting in late July 2019. I talked to him almost every day until his death. I told him that I would visit him in March of 2020. I also told him that through thick and thin that I loved him and that he will forever be in my DNA.
