Harold's obituary

Hal passed peacefully from this life the morning of September 28th after a gradual decline in health.
Hal was born in Somerset, KY to Eva and Alfred Phelps. He served in the Coast Guard Reserve and was honored to be a Kentucky Colonel, a Syrian Shriner and Free Mason.

Hal was an avid boater and outdoorsman, proud member of Four Seasons and Harbour Towne Yacht Clubs, The Kentucky Admirals and Captain of the vessel “Raisin Hal”. He was a Horse Shoe Champion and a super fan of UK basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.

Hal is survived by his wife Mary Lou and by four children (and Spouses):

Sons: Rob Phelps (Patty) and Marc Phelps
Step-sons: Mike and Steve McGowan

Grandchildren: Tricia and Johnathan Phelps. April Kable, Britainy, Keegan, and Cassidy McGowan, Morgan Hoh (Adrian)

Great grandchildren: MacKenzie McGrath, Eliza O’Connel, Dillon Wilson, Kortnie Wilson, Finley Coffey, Easton Lehart, and Crosley Giordullo.
Great great grandchild Kash Wilson.
Hal is also survived by his sisters: Lois VanPelt, Lorraine Cox - Nee Phelps, Linda Meece. (Joe)
He was preceeded in death by his son Jeffrey Phelps and step-daughter Kym McGowan.

A celebration of life is planned for the near future. TBD.
