My deepest sympathy to John & Laurie and all the family.  We always remembered Uncle Harry as the uncle who flew in a plane.  We had may family reunions when you came to visit Wisconsin.  He and I talked on the phone when his sister, Lorna, my Mom went into a nursing home and he sent her a dozen roses.  Mom always thought  a lot about him and he said she was  his second mom.
I was so sorry to hear about Uncle Hal’s passing. I’m grateful that he was able to live such a long life—one filled with energy, curiosity, and wisdom. Even the last time he came to Appleton to visit, he still  knew everyone. His sharp mind and treasured memories were truly an inspiration. Uncle Hal was an amazing person who lived life fully, bringing warmth, energy, and joy wherever he went.  Deepest condolences to everyone.
