Harold's obituary

Harold “Kippy” Goggins, 69, of Elsmere, DE, passed away at home on February 26, 2024.



Harold was born on February 22, 1955 to Harold Goggins Sr and Grace Elizabeth Goggins in Philadelphia. He attended Cardinal Daugherty High School,  Litchfield Preparatory School and graduated from Jenkintown High School in 1973. He studied at Community College of Montgomery County before entering the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force he went to work for Amtrak for over 10 years as a rail worker. He met and later married Angela Meekins in 1984. From that union two children were born, Quincy and Kerry. 

Harold was a force of nature, determined to live life in his own unique way. Harold was passionate about technology, action movies and he was a computer buff.  He could often be found building a computer from the ground up or downloading the latest action or kung fu movie. Harold was also passionate about politics and black history. Harold enjoyed teaching his friends and family about, what he called "the true history of our people." Anyone who knew Harold knew that he loved being a grandfather to Kali and Maya. Harold was predeceased by his parents and wife Angie. He is survived by his two sons Kerry and Quincy and daughter-in-law Tamisha Ransom-Goggins, a daughter, his sister Shannon Coleman, special niece Lauryn Coleman, nephew Devin Coleman, aunt Phyllis Ward, uncle Thomas Goggins and a host of cousins.
