Harold's obituary
Harold D. (Grump aka Grumpy) Bell, has forever gone fishing in heaven. He bid farewell to this world on April 2, 2024, after bravely battling COPD. He was born on January 22, 1957, to Louis Walter Bell and Eula Caplinger Sprague. Grump leaves behind a legacy cherished by his family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings: Vincent (Linda) Bell, Vicki (Steve) Overstake, Tim (Denise) Bell, Richard (Andrea) Bell. He will be deeply missed by his children: Michelle Bottomsley, Aaron (Dhes) Will, Angel (Rich) Fravel, and Elizabeth (Brian) Crafton.
His grandchildren, include Aaron Will, Maylen Will, Dawn (Jonathan) Jenkins, Jennifer Will, Crystal (Dallas) Will, Randy (Savannah) Will, CJ (Jamie) Fravel, Josh (Kenzie) Fravel, Haley Fravel, Brianna Crafton, William (Makayla) Crafton, Brandon Crafton, Kanyon Crafton, and Kaylee Crafton. He also leaves behind numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Grump leaves behind his companion Roni Wells, alongside her children: Paula (Matt) Goldston, Crystal (Seth) Boggs, Melissa (Eugene) Erwin, and their families. His affection extended to Roni's grandchildren, Bobbi-Jo (Max) Casto, Jonathon (Jessica) Wells, Naomi Wells, and great-grandchildren: Colton, Jasper, Jonathon, Jayden, and Jaxsyn.
In addition to his human loved ones, Grump will be remembered for his devotion to his fur babies, Diesel and Pixie.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Gladys Foster Caplinger, paternal grandparents, Harold and Helen Current Bell, stepmother Sandy Baker Bell, step-grandparents Richard (Burl) and Grace Adkins Baker, daughter Dawna Will, and great-great-nephew Granger Beau Lee Kelly.
Grump dedicated much of his life to his career as a truck driver/mechanic, punctuated by various odd jobs. He will be fondly recalled for his passion for hunting, fishing, and karaoke, but above all, for the immense love he held for all of his children.
A celebration of Harold's life will take place on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, starting at 3:00 PM, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles located at 1167 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH 43206.
