When my beloved dog Harald was diagnosed with a brain tumor, it felt like the world stopped. But thanks to radiation therapy and the resilience that defined his persevering spirit, Harald lived more than three vibrant years beyond his diagnosis.
His journey was rare—many dogs with brain tumors aren’t as fortunate.
Canine brain tumors are tragically common, yet research into their causes, treatments, and long-term outcomes remain underfunded. Harald’s story is a testament to what’s possible when science meets compassion. But for every Harald, there are countless dogs whose lives are cut short simply because we don’t yet have the answers.
