I am deeply saddened to learn of Hanan’s passing. We attended Delaware State University together nearly 20 years ago, and I will always remember her kindness and patience—especially the times she helped me with math during undergrad. We shared a genuine bond during that season of life, and those memories have stayed with me.

My heart is heavy knowing she is gone, and I extend my deepest condolences to her husband and children. May they feel surrounded by love, strength, and comfort, and may Hanan’s memory continue to live on through them and all the lives she touched.

Marcel, I am deeply sorry to hear this news. It’s difficult to comprehend. Hanan truly was a ray of sunshine and energy every time I saw her. She was taken far too soon. I was so impressed that she was doing orange theory while pregnant. What a trooper! Her memory and legacy will be so cherished. Marcel, if you are ever in a bind with childcare and need help for a few hours, pls don’t hesitate to reach out to me and my husband. Or we can refer you to our babysitters. We would be more than happy to help.

I did not get the chance to know Hanan as well as I wanted. However you can immediately tell she was a warm and positive soul.
