Gwenn's obituary

Gwenn Kaizer Elliot, 68, passed away suddenly on May 26, 2021. Gwenn was born in Bismarck, North Dakota to Jean and Edward Kaizer. She followed in her mother’s footsteps and became a Registered Nurse, earning her BSN from Mary College in 1974. Gwenn and her twin sister, Gayle (also a nurse), moved to California after college. There Gwenn fell in love with and married David (Scott) Elliot in 1976. Gwenn worked as a Registered Nurse for 47 years, notably at Angeles Home Health in nursing administration for almost three decades before eventually transitioning to her most recent nursing administration roles at Riverside Medical Clinic, where she worked for the past 13 years. She was highly respected for her knowledge, experience, and determination.

Gwenn’s passions in life were helping others and spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters. She loved going on trips, adventures, and drives; she always enjoyed learning and experiencing new things. Family trips to Disneyland (especially at Halloween and Christmas time), taking R.V. trips with her husband and kids, decorating for the holidays, and visiting her relatives in North Dakota were some of her favorite memories. Her dauntless perseverance, compassion, and capacity to love will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Gwenn is survived by Scott, her husband of 44 years; her daughters, Sara Stockwell and Laura (Mathew) Finnegan; her two granddaughters, Reagan and Allie; her sisters, Gayle (Eddie) Cohen and Lynne (Rod) Sears; her brothers, Kenen (Gretchen) Kaizer and Keven Kaizer; father-in-law David K. Elliot; brothers-in-law James (Susie) Elliot, Richard (Michelle) Elliot, and Robert (Kathleen) Elliot; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. She joins in Heaven her parents and her mother-in-law, Shirley Elliot.

In remembrance of Gwenn’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) at https://for.choc.org/honor/Gw…
