Gwendolyn (Wendy)'s obituary

Gwendolyn "Wendy" Westlake, a woman of unparalleled tenacity, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024. Born in 1952, Wendy left an indelible mark on the hearts of many, illustrating a life marked by determination, love, and resilience.

Wendy's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Misty Driggers, son-in-law Bradley Driggers, son Jeffrey Smith, daughter-in-law Heather Smith, parents Lora & Larry Julian, sisters Sandra Stegeman & Pamela Copeland, brother Wayne Roberts, grandchildren Colton George, Chandler George, Cassidy Colgan, Carly Colgan, Chelsea Driggers, Calvin Smith, Carver Smith, Evan Lindsay, great grandchildren Karver & Kaysen.  Her most cherished role, however, was being a doting grandmother. Wendy's eyes would light up at any mention of her grandchildren, and she was profoundly proud of the loving, kind individuals they have become.

Throughout her life, Wendy epitomized the essence of the word "pertinacious." Her unyielding resolve, whether faced with life's tribulations or implicit joys, was admired and respected by all who knew her. She had an unfailing belief in the power of love and kindness, and her spirit was nothing short of inspiring.

In honor of Wendy's memory, her family asks that friends and loved ones continue her legacy of unwavering love and commitment to their families. Wendy's light will continue to guide us through the darkest times, reminding us of the strength we possess within and the incredible power of love.

Wendy's kind spirit and resolute perseverance will be sorely missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those she touched throughout her extraordinary life.
