Guy's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Taylor, who left us on May 2, 2024. Born on April 13, 1957, Guy was a cornerstone of his community and a beacon of love and laughter for those lucky enough to have known him.

Guy was undeniably unique, possessing a personality best described as loving and funny. He was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the care and cultivation of his beloved garden and cherishing each moment spent with his grandchildren. The best lesson he shared with those around him was a timeless mantra to 'be cool'.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer Taylor—a testament to a love story that warmed the hearts of all who bore witness. His legacy also lives on through his two children; his daughter, Jeannia Burgess, and his son, David Taylor. He was exceptionally proud of his six beautiful granddaughters; Sylvia (BooBoo) Fuller, Emily Pierce, Eleanor Taylor, Morgan Burgess, Natalie Burgess, and Jamie Burgess, from whom his spirit of love and laughter will undeniably persist.

His strong family ties extend to his surviving brothers: Mike Taylor, Grant Taylor, Steve Taylor, Eric Joslin, and Pat Joslin, all of whom continue to honour his memory. He was predeceased by his mother, Virginia Taylor, his father, Roy Taylor, and his brother, Randy Ludwig.

While we mourn the loss of an incredible man, we take solace in knowing that Guy's spirit will continue to live on in the gardens he nurtured and the love he fostered within his family. We celebrate his life full of laughter, love, and cherish the precious memories we were privileged to make with him. His life was a testament to the power of love and humor, and he will be deeply missed.
