Our beloved Gustavo “BuBu” Vazquez Dzul passed away on October 9, 2024 after a long battle with kidney and heart disease at the young age of 55. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many.

Gustavo was born on May 8, 1969 in Mexico and moved to the United States in 1988, where he married, Mara. Together they had three children: Marla, Maureen, and Matthew. He would later become a proud and devoted grandfather to Aleia and Ares. He spent his last days caring for and loving his grandchildren who were the light of his life.

Throughout his life, Gusi spread joy and kindness to all who knew him. He had an infectious smile and laugh, that lead to developing many friendships. Most recall his playful nature through jokes and sayings.

Gusi was loved and cherished by many people far and wide. To honor him, and the impact he had on many lives, there will be a memorial service held on October 26, 2024 from 1pm to 3 pm at Rose Family Funeral Home 4444 Cochran St, Simi Valley, CA 93063. Immediately following there will be a gathering at a relatives residence with food and beverages to continue the celebration of Gustavo's life. 

His loved ones thank all who have sent their love, thoughts, and prayers. There is comfort in knowing Gustavo will be remembered in every happy memory people have shared with him.
