Guillermo "Willis" Garcia Tovar, 60, of Lancaster, TX, passed away on September 20, 2022, after a 3-year battle with cancer. Guillermo was born on July 10, 1962, to Pablo Garcia and Leonarda Tovar in Mexico.  In 1985, he met Rosa Holguin, and they wed in 1987, going on to have 2 children, Erica Salinas and Gabriella Villareal.


Guillermo was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Erica, Gabriella, and Rosa and always tried his best to support them. Guillermo was also passionate about his ministry to others about God and could often be found welding something becoming known as "The Welder" or "El Soldador", when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew Guillermo knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Guillermo was predeceased by his father Pablo Garcia and niece Viviana Garcia. He is survived by his wife Rosa Garcia, mother Leonarda Tovar, 2 daughters and their spouses, 6 grandchildren, 1 brother and his spouse, 2 sisters, and 8 nieces and 2 nephews. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Rosa Garcia. There will be a Funeral Service Friday, September 30, 2022, at 9:00 AM at Golden Gate Funeral Home - Dallas, 4155 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway Dallas, TX 75224.
