Fly High Sis, Love you for ♾️
So sorry Grace! ❤️
1
Gretchen and I had a lot in common (for a while there...). I respected and appreciated her and we shared the love of our respective children (who were constantly together for a few yrs when they were young....). I watched Gretchen putting so much love, effort and attention into keeping Grace safe, dressed to the 9's, fed (mostly mac and cheese, hot dogs and SpaghettOs) and doing her very best to maintain a good structured life for Grace.
I left Sewanee when Grace (and Lucy) were 7yrs old. I only saw Gretchen a few times since 2007. I know she struggled with life, but her heart and soul were ALWAYS very rich (and I think of her as a kind, compassionate woman). I hope that she was able to experience love and beauty in the years that followed 2007.... we fell out of touch when our lives took different directions.
For Grace- that magical Capi- I hope that you lean into love, beauty and the best elements that your mom brought to your life: creativity, passion and a hope for a better tomorrow. This story is not complete...you will complete the next chapter with what you add to it....
With all my love-
Ericka
P.S. Gretchen is wearing a necklace that I made for her in 3 of the memorial pictures....I hope it brought her joy...
