To Greta’s family: we know you are grieving the loss of your mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Thankfully you know she will be back soon, all healthy, and how happy all of you will be then!❤️
So sorry for your loss. May you gain comfort from the scriptures as well as the many family and friends that loved her also. Gravley and Toliver family.
Sincere condolences to a woman who has touched so many hearts and lives in the Gretna congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Your hard work, creative spirit and dedication will be forever remembered. Thank you for being a wonderful friend and fellow teacher. You will be missed beyond words. May Jehovah continue to bless the efforts of your families service. Andrew Hall and family.
I always was glad to see her, she had a smile for me and made me feel so welcome and good. She told me she liked to dance and I could imagine her dancing around. Looking forward to seeing her in the resurrection and spending more time with her. We are sending much love to the entire family ❤️
I have so many good memories that I could tell but the one that stands out is the time she was washing clothes with a wringer washer and I asked her if I could run the clothes through the wringer. She said I guess so as I was putting the clothes in the wringer it caught my hand and pulled my arm and Greta and I both screamed and instead of unplugging it she ran my arm back through the wringer. We have laughed so many times about that. I love my dear sweet sister-in-law and look forward to seeing her when we both will be young again.
My favorite is at DE and Sue’s wedding. When asked if she had any advice for the newlyweds, she was caught unaware and she blurted out “go to bed early.”
I have many fond memories of Aunt Greta. She was always loving, kind and hospitable. She was part saint to put up with Uncle Danny and the 4 boys. :) Unfortunately I didn't get to spend much time with her after we moved away from Gretna but every time I saw her, it was as if we had never left . She always had open arms, a smile on her face, gave me a kiss on the cheek and wanted to fix me something to eat if I was at her house. She will be missed but she is very much alive in our hearts and memory and more importantly, in Jehovah's memory. Look forward to seeing her when she is young and healthy again.
To the whole Gretna Congregation and especially her immediate family, I am so sorry for the pain you feel right now but I am more than thankful for the hope you and I have of the resurrection. Greta always made me happy! I look forward to living with her again where she will never say "I am sick". Billy and Judy Walton
