Gregory Smolka went home to Jesus on December 11, 2022 at age 83.

Gregory was born to Jared and Theresa Smolka on September 22, 1939 in Canton Ohio.

Gregory met his wife, Elaenor in 1973. They married in the summer of 1976 and went on to have 3 children, Amy, Delaine and Michael. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Gregory also loved his faith and relationships with God. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

Gregory rejoices as he joins his brother and sisters in Heaven. He is survived by his children; Amy Smolka-balog, Delaine Smolka, Michael Smolka, and his grandchildren; William, Jordan, Nathalie, and Nicholas Balog, Tiffany and Andrew Smolka, and Michael Smolka Jr.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Gregory will be laid to rest December 13th, 2023 at the Forest Hill Cemetery of Canton Ohio .

Services will take place at the Reed Funeral Home of Canton Ohio.
