I grew up in Longbranch with Greg as my neighbor. I still drive by their old house and remember it as the Pullins,I have many memories of Greg and his family. Fishing from the Longbranch dock . Rowing a boat with him and his Brother Gary under and around the Dock. Diving off the dock . I remember for a few years running Greg played the trumpet at the Longbranch hall for the beginning ceremony of memorial day . He was kind of proud . And it was such a small town thing but people came and watched the ceremony. And he was part of it. I remember his first car . Was a Maverick.he was a few years older than me so as our families grew and left the nest ,I lost connection with him. But saw him around . And found he had become a heating contractor. I think his father had worked in the trade also. We talked and met a few times. He was proud that his daughter was working in the heating trade . I don't remember what all she does. But he was . I know.with his love .passing the trade on to her .I have good childhood memories of Greg . I'm sure he will be missed . I wondered where he went a while back . And now I know.we were supposed to go fishing.last summer 2022. And we just missed .life got in the way. I remember fishing from the Longbranch dock with him near 1978 and then meeting in Tacoma 2022. He was still interested in fishing . Im sad my old childhood friend has passed. I hope he is has passed to a peaceful place .
Whenever I encountered Greg, he always seemed to say a joke that made me crack a genuine smile. There’s dad jokes them there’s his… which were way funnier. Even though I didn’t know him that well, I know his kids talked a great deal of him. That already shows how great of a father he was to them.
