Gregory Alan Owen

April 4, 1954 - January 8, 2025

Gregory Alan Owen of Ocala, FL passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025 after a late stage diagnosis of multiple myeloma.

Greg was the most loving father, granddad, brother, and a great friend to all. He was incredibly selfless and supportive. His charm and wit never failed to fill a room with laughter, even into his final days. He enjoyed the simple things in life after having many adventures. Greg owned a prominent sports bar on the UW campus in his hometown of Madison, WI before making his way to the Florida Keys. After managing airlines he relocated to Central Florida as a real estate agent and finally devoted seventeen years to the Hilton of Ocala before retiring. In the last thirty-two years he led an abundance of memorable experiences for his daughters.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Doris Owen (Putnam) and his first born son Alexander. He leaves behind his dearest daughters Caitlin Owen and Emily (Brad) Bales; treasured grandsons Landon, Lucas, and Layton Bales. Brothers Lee (Susan), Dennis, Mark; sisters Valorie (Fred) Owen-Borich and Anna (Bob) Morgan. Nieces and nephews in Wisconsin, family in Tennessee, and many lifelong friends.

If Heaven has a beach, we know he’s relaxing in the sun. A life well lived and a legacy of loving others that will never be forgotten. “All for one, and one for all.”
