This is Caitlin  his goddaughter , I’m just now finding out, kind of a shock. I miss him every day..  😢
I have been a friend to Greg for 25 years or more. We met in the furniture and accessory sales business. It was the High Point Market this week. The memories of Greg this week was share with other reps and the stories told. He was loved by many people in this industry. On many occasions Greg and I would talk about our faith together in Christ. One verse that we spoke about to each other was Isaiah 41:10. Fear not ,for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Greg Love The Lord and often times wondered how God Could Love Him. I reassured him that God Loved Him Just The Way He Is. Greg is with God And I am sure of that. Thanks be to God.
I am grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know Greg later in his life.  I saw the special bond that he and Tim shared.  I felt the warmth of his smile more than once while he tried to learn the game of  pickleball and Mary and Chris' wedding.  No doubt Greg is in a better place now and is smiling down on the many people whose lives he touched along his life journey.  Godspeed to our friend, Greg, and his wonderful Kornegay family.

I met Gregg over 15 years ago in the Furnture industry. He always was a truly joyous man. He always had a joke and kind word.   A sweet soul and will be missed,  I know I will see you again!!

I met Greg at furniture market some years ago. He was always kind and witty! Greg was the one who convinced me to get tested for sleep apnea. God bless his soul and memory..🙏

... Greg will be missed.  I knew him  at Providence Presbyterian Church At McGee's Crossroads (Angier NC mailing address).  He tried hard to be an active member of the Mission & Outreach Committee.  Though the travel required for his job made it a little hard for him.  He attended committe activity when he could.  Greg was always upbeat.  I don't think I ever saw him in low spirits.  He was quick to share something funny as well as something spiritually meaningful.  He was a gentle soul.  My heartfelt condolences go to his surviving family.   God bless you all.

💐🙏❤️

Greg was such an important part of the Methodist Church in Benson for many years.  He was friendly, kind, and ALWAYS had a joke.  I always loved to hear him tell the story from the Bible of the walk to Emmaus.    He could recite it word for word and with such expression and heartfelt love.   He was a good friend to many here in Benson!
My family lived across the street from the Kornegays on Deveron Dr. in Charlotte NC.  Although I was older, my sister and brother always had a story about the adventures they shared with Tim and Greg. Great family friends,  great memories, a sweet time
Greg was a unique individual and a great friend. I think fondly of the many hours spent together at High Point, Atlanta and the NY Gift Show. We would all return from a hard days work and look forward to Greg entertaining us with his endless jokes and Daffy Duck imitations. We would beg him to stop because our belly hurt from laughter. He held a special place in his heart for my son, Ari, who has special needs. He was always loving supportive. I remember him making pancakes for Ari one morning in the shape of the letters of his name. He still talks about how delicious they were. Greg will be sorely missed
I grew up living across the street from Greg and Tim spent summers at their lake Norman home great memories baseball in the backyard Sue his Moms lemonade and I can’t go without saying something about Tim and his Monkey that lived on the porch. Great family and great friends!
Fond memories of Greg in Benson and sharing many meals at Stephenson’s BBQ. Rest in peace, dear friend.

We met Greg when we first started attending Providence Presbyterian Church. We took a 15 week new members class together on Sunday mornings prior to Sunday service. A true gentleman, Greg was always eager to talk and was an excellent listener when others shared conversation or opinions. Greg was a devout Christian and will be missed.
I was so sorry to hear about Gregory's passing. I always admired Gregg and his wonderful spirit. Gregg was a sales rep for my company for many years. I always looked forward to seeing Gregg and he never failed to deliver a Donald Duck impersonation upon command and of course always had a new joke ready to bring a laugh and smile to all those around him. It didn’t take too much to coax him into a performance. Gregg was full of life and always exemplified such a kind and loving spirit toward others. He often brought treats and delicious surprises to share with everyone at the Gift and Home Markets.  You could always count on Gregg and he was a true man of his word. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. See you on the other side, my good friend Gregg. Well done thy good and faithful servant.
My condolences to the Kornegay family. I worked with Gregg for many years when he was a sales rep for Sterling. We shared many fun times in the showroom and he was always quick with a joke and a big smile.  I always looked forward to seeing him in High Point because he would arrive bearing my favorite blackberry cobbler.  He was such a great cook!  We had many discussions about how good our God is. He truly had the heart of a servant.  I know without hesitation he is in heaven with his beloved mom, keeping everybody in stitches with his silly jokes.  Heaven has gained a sweet soul that day. I haven’t seen him in many years, but I always ask mutual friends about him. He will continue to be missed.
