Greg was a mighty fine fellow. From midnight hockey at Eddy Edgar to good times on the golf course Greg was always a joy to be with. Rest in Peace Big Guy…

He was the kindest person and the best friend Jeffrey and I could have. He helped us move to Floruda in the mid eighties, dricing the truck with a brick under the accelerator!
He will be missed by so many still here. May his next journey be one of happiness and love.

Greg
I echo the thoughts of all, we were fortunate and graced to know this kind, true and honest great man. Our frivolous golfing ventures were some of the best medicine to be prescribed. It was a reward to participate with Greg, and will be truly missed and treasured.
He'll be a danc'n in the sky. Peace & many birdies friend.

Papi Greg was the best grandpa anyone could ask for. No matter what he made us laugh and was there for us. I'm sad to see such a good man leave but knowing he's doing better makes me feel much better. You will always be remembered grandpa, we love you!

When we were kids your mom came to our house to talk with my mom. You exceeded your moms expectations. Playing golf, midnight hockey and Sunday morning with Odam at Butzel. A Ford football team guy who was a helleuva QB and just a all around dude.

Greg had many passions, one that stands out is how much he loved an afternoon on the green. Each time I would catch him after a round of golf- I would ask him how he did. At times, maybe depending on his score, I think he would have preferred I hadn’t asked! 😄 so I decided to start just telling him to have a good game before he left. I asked Greg, so what do you say to somebody who’s going golfing, and you want to tell them to have a good game? He said you tell them to “hit it straight”! so that was our thing. I always told him hit it straight when I saw him headed out the door with his clubs.
I also remember years ago wanting to get Greg a Christmas gift, being at a golf store and calling my brother. i asked Bruce, who was also a golf fanatic what I could get somebody who loved the sport. My brother recommended “the little red golf book”. Greg studied that book like the Bible, until the cover was almost worn away. I know he enjoyed it, and I hope it helped his game in some little way. Lots of fun little stories I remember. I miss you, Greg. Hit it straight.~~. Love Kimmie and Glen

My Dearest Friend Greg!!!
I meet Greg when he was 12 and I was 19. We have been Friends ever since and only have the very best memories of Greg. We worked together, he was in my wedding, and shared Best Times.
I loved Greg and so sorry he had to suffer so much!

I loved Greg … he was my friend! He came to San Francisco when I lived there. He was great to dance with. We went to every class reunion, along with Jeff Smith while able, including the last one.. He was always available when I came home. He supported my many endeavors, and events, and always had fun…always positive and laughing . He was so happy with Mary, which felt great. It is a privilege to have Greg in my life. You will be missed.

I remember Greg as a good hearted man who seemed that he was always concerned about "the other guy". A great athlete. I've always heard that his marriage (and family) brought him great happiness.
