I share my deepest condolences with Susan and the Duncan family. Greg was my supervisor when I worked at Duke Divinity School. He was such a good guy. Greg made my job a very pleasant place to be. He treated everyone with the same amount of respect and strived to promote diversity and inclusion with every opportunity given. He had no idea how much love and light he brought in every place he visited. He was a true angel who loved to share Jesus' love with everyone. He is truly missed.

Sue, Matt, and Katie, I am so sorry for your loss. I so respected and looked up to Greg as the kind of Christian leader I would like to be. He was so generous and loving, and so young to be taken away from us all. Forever grateful to have known him.

I am especially thankful to Greg for his leadership in missions at Resurrection UMC in Durham ( now Elizabeth Street after a merger with my beloved Calvary UMC) The famous grocery cart full of donated items for the food pantry rolled forward during the church's regular offering was such a powerful sign/act of our call to feed the hungry. Theological genius in a local church setting thanks to Greg. I did not know about his social work training but I suspect that helped form him in such a way as to have instituted such a wise mission. I pray comfort for his family as you grieve his early loss. I give thanks for his life.

My sincerest condolences to his dear family and friends. Mr. Duncan was always kind and encouraging to me. I enjoyed seeing him in the hallway of the Duke Divinity School as well as the host our Lampstand events. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in the arms of Christ our Savior🙏🏾❤️

My heart goes out to Greg's family at this sad time. I remember first meeting Greg when I was 17 and he was appointed as our assoc minister in Melbourne. Lucky for me that he only lived two doors down, so I could pester him routinely. I'll never forget him and his little red Toyota. Thankfully my mom, Polly, practically adopted him as the perfect son she never had, and we got to enjoy his friendship in our family for decades. What a blessing and comfort he was to us all when both Doc and Polly passed. I can only imagine the great debates, hugs and laughter that is being shared up above!

We send all our love to Greg's family! Greg was such a great and caring man. He married us 43 years ago in the Methodist Church in Melbourne. He was also a great pastor to us in the youth group. He made a huge impact on our lives.

Greg was one of the best friends I ever had and was a great positive influence on my life. Although we only lived in the same place in Melbourne FL for a couple of years in the late 70’s, we stayed in touch over the years and it was always great to hear from him. I had hoped to see him and Sue this fall. He will be greatly missed.

Greg was the perfect example of a servant leader and an ideal friend. He was the real deal! Humble, always, but steadfast in his beliefs. Humorous, kind and a darn good basketball and tennis player. I had the privilege of knowing him when he pastored his first church in Melbourne. He became our best friend and the times we shared and things I learned from Greg will never be forgotten. I was always trying to fix him up, but he found Sue on his own and he knew she was the ONE! RIP ole Buddy. Hug Polly and my baby daughter. Till I see you again.

I am so sad to have heard of Greg’s passing. My sincere condolences to all of Greg’s family. I knew Greg when he was the HR Administrator for The Center for Child and Family Health. He was a kind, caring man, and always had a smile and positive words to share.

We were all fascinated by Greg's intellect, disciplined approach, and gentlemanly qualities. He was humble, sincere, and a memorable character of considerable influence upon others.
