It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory Michael (Mike) Covington, Sr., who departed this life on November 24, 2023. Born on April 17, 1977, Gregory was a cherished member of our community and a beloved figure in his family.

Mike left behind a remarkable legacy, one that will continue to shine bright in his surviving family. His wife, Misty Covington, was his partner and confidante in life's journey. His son, Gregory Covington, Jr., and daughter, Elizabeth Covington, were his pride and joy, and he nurtured them with love and kindness. He also leaves behind his caring mother, Cheryl Covington, and two brothers, Brian Covington and Danny Covington, Jr. He was predeceased by his father, Danny Covington, with whom he now shares eternity.

A man of many interests and passions, Mike was a dedicated supporter of the Atlanta Braves and the Tennessee Volunteers. His fervor for these teams was infectious, and he enjoyed many memorable moments cheering them on. His leisure time was often spent in the company of his loved ones. The family home was always filled with laughter and shared stories during these moments of togetherness.

A loss deeply felt, Gregory's sun may have set, but his light will perpetually shine in the hearts of those who loved him. His vitality, warm spirit, and boundless love for his family will be remembered fondly as we strive to keep his memory alive.
