Patsy Long
2022, Victory Pickleball courts
I will always remember Greg and his outgoing personality and friendship. When we played Pickleball together, he played Patsy Cline songs on his phone because he knew I was named after her. I will never play Pickleball again without thinking about him. He always had a joke and a smile to beat all smiles. Greg will be terribly missed by so many! A terrific guy on so many levels. God Bless Greg and his dear family!

Greg was always willing to help anyone that needed it and volunteer his time as needed. He was gracious and always had a smile on his face. He taught us how to play our first dinking game! Rest in peace dear Greg you will be missed.
Joyce and I moved into Mountainside in November of 2021 and the first person we met was our new neighbor, Greg Calhoun. We became instant friends with both Greg and Cindi and enjoyed many get togethers on their patio and ours. He was always willing to give me a hand, or any of his neighbors, with anything that needed done around the house, from hanging pictures to airing up bicycle tires. He introduced me to Pickleball and set me up with paddles to use and try before buying. Both Joyce and I will miss his positive attitude, friendliness and willingness to help anyway he could! We will never forget Greg or his big smile. Our hearts are breaking and we will miss him so much. Rest In Peace Greg. Until we meet again.

Greg would come up early for my  paddleboard yoga class . He would help me blow up the boards and set up. He attended my water class when his hip hurt.  He was such a center of attention laughing at his own crazy jokes. I have gotten an authentic hug from him which was so very special. When he knew I needed one . Thank you Greg knowing you was a gift. I was on that mountain morning with my new puppy..Had we passed I would gave you that hug back and hoped .We would walk together  .
Matt and Katy: I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad will be missed by many. I will always remember his welcoming nature and terrible dad jokes. 🤣 We were so lucky to have him join our family and share many memories with us the last several years. I was always envious of his passion for his hobbies and endless energy. He was a very genuine man and was so proud of his kids. Thank you for sharing your dad with us!
Brother, I am at a loss for words when I heard about your passing. The memory that jumped in my mind thinking about friendship was our frequent neighborhood libations fireside 🔥 Specifically the one evening I bought home 3 dozen oysters and we started grilling them on the BBQ with copious amounts of margaritas. By the time we were done with all of them and all the margaritas we were both feeling no pain. So as not to gross anyone out reading this the Oyster Christmas Ornaments you placed on my bushes out front most likely still are there today 😳 I love you my Brother and until we meet again in heaven ❤️
My brother was a force of nature. His entire life was lived at 150 mph. He could fit more into one day than the rest of us could accomplish in a week. He had a way making friends wherever he went, oftentimes by telling really bad jokes. He was a very special guy, and he will be missed.

He will be missed. All those bad jokes and if we were coming for a visit, he had us planned out to do 10 hours of things to do in 4 hours. Always wanting us to see enjoy all the time and places around the area that he so loved.

He always had the best intentions 😇

Loved him like a brother.

Whenever I think about Greg, I think about the outdoors, adventure, dad jokes, pickle-ball,  gizmos and gadgets and a big bright white smile. Greg always welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of the family right away, I will really miss him, but am so grateful for all of the memories I got to make with him.

One of my favorite memories is the time he taught me how to ski. There aren't a lot of places to ski in England,  so the first time Greg and Matt took me skiing in Bend, I probably had just as much as experience as a 2 year old might have, and even then that might be reaching.

Greg stuck by my side all morning, going up and down the bunny slopes multiple times, teaching me to pizza, to french fry, to turn and to have confidence in myself that I could accomplish what seemed impossible. With many  falls and chair rides and pep talks I started to really feel confident that I might be able to ski! I did give Greg a few frights though, once slipping out of his hands the first time I got off of the ski lift, zooming down into the trees unable to direct, guide, or fend for myself, luckily I missed the tree stump by just a foot. If that wasn't enough to give Greg and Matt a fright, later on in the day I managed to ski off the side of the cliff, luckily Greg and Matt rescued me without any injuries, just a couple of new wrinkles/stress lines for Greg.

We finished up for the weekend sat in the carpark in the trunk of Greg's car with tuna fish sandwiches, cookies, and more bruises than I could count. I will forever cherish all of the other adventures and memories we had together,  and Matt and I will continue to adventure for you!!

Love you -- Miss you -- Rest in peace
