In Loving Memory of Gregorio Jimenez Umblas February 4, 1927 – July 17, 2025 Gregorio Jimenez Umblas peacefully passed away on July 17, 2025, at Isabela South Specialist Hospital in Echague, Isabela. He was born on February 4, 1927, in Ballesteros, Cagayan, to the late Pedro and Cipriana Umblas. A proud Filipino-American veteran, Gregorio bravely served during World War II under the United States Armed Forces in the Far East (USAFFE), making him not only a hero of the Philippines but also a recognized American veteran. After the war, he continued his service in the Philippine Constabulary, now part of the Philippine Army, where he served with dedication and retired with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Adoracion Umblas; his parents, Pedro and Cipriana; and his children, Francisco Lacquias, Nixon Umblas, and Gregorio Umblas Jr. Gregorio’s memory will be cherished by his surviving family: • Children: Chester D. Umblas, Gladys D. Umblas, and Grace U. A necrological service to honor Gregorio’s life will be held on July 23, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Libingan ng mga Bayani, Taguig City, Philippines. Funeral services and interment will follow on July 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the same location. His legacy of love, service, and sacrifice will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
