Gregg and I worked together at Exxon for 4 years or so before I retired in 2013. He was kind, smart, funny and adored his wife and family. And those adorable puppies that he and Shari adopted!
I went in his office one day to comment on the fact that the “surge” in Iraq appeared to be working. This is during the Bush administration. Gregg’s response: “Karla, the surge is comparable to someone coming into my office, pooping on my desk and cleaning up half of it, with a promise to clean the rest up later. It would been so much better if it hadn’t happened in the first place.”
The world was a better place with Gregg in it.

Gregg and I went to school together from elementary through high school. We started communicating again through Facebook group for our class 50th reunion site. He always funny, insightful and compassionate. He adored his wife and daughters and was an amazing son to his very elderly father. His passing is almost one year after the passing his best friend, Steve Simons. May they both rest in peace.

What a great big Brother! He is 6 years older than me… and I always looked up to him! One snowy Minnesota day, I was sick and couldn’t go out and play in the snow. I was probably about 5 or 6. Gregg tried to cheer me up by making a “Snow Bingo!” Bingo was our Basset Hound. There was Gregg outside our living room picture window sculpting this wonderful Snow Dog… just to make me happy! Now that’s Brotherly Love!🐶🥰💙

We are so saddened to learn of Gregg’s passing. He was our Minnesota neighbor before we even knew him, then eventually our Houston neighbor, and finally, a friend. It was worth the wait! His dry sense of humor and his “garage mahal” will forever be remembered as authentically Gregg. We send our deepest sympathy and love, he will live on in our hearts forever.

Gregg Anderson was a most interesting and inspiring human being, and we will miss him greatly. His wonderfully dry sense of humor and his keen intellect made for many great conversations. Our thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful family.
