Background
We are organizing two memorial celebrations — one in New York on August 9th, 2025, and one in Philadelphia on January 10th, 2026 — because of course one city wasn’t enough for him. And these aren’t going to be quiet, solemn affairs. Grant would never have allowed that. We’re going to tell stories. We’re going to laugh so hard we cry. We’re going to dance terribly. We’re going to sing off-key. We’re going to get a little unhinged. We’re going to love each other loudly. That’s the only way to honor someone like Grant — by being fully, messily, beautifully alive.
This fund will help cover the costs of these celebrations — spaces, travel, food, music, and all the little things that will let us gather together and remember him the way he deserves to be remembered.
Any leftover funds will go to the following organizations that reflect Grant's wild, generous, hilarious, and beautiful spirit. We encourage you to contribute to these in lieu of sending flowers to the family.

- New York Small Theatres Fund
- Brooklyn Comedy Collective

- Comedy Gives Back

If you can give, thank you. If you can’t, that’s okay — share your stories, your photos, your memories. Keep him alive by keeping him close. Tell the stories. Do the bits. Make the jokes. Hug your people a little too tight. Kiss them a little too wet. Take up too much space. Love without apology. That’s what Grant did. That’s what Grant is.
We are also collecting as many pieces of Grant's art - in any form - that we can. If you have any recordings, drawings, writings, sketches, etc. that you can share with the family, please send these to memorial4grant@gmail.com. Contribute
