Grady's obituary
He was educated in Concord, NC at Northwest Cabarrus High School class of 1974. He and Rene Marie Lane met at West A Church of God and married in 1988.
Grady enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family as well as riding his motorcycle. He was known as “poppy” to his grandchildren. He was an avid Carolina Tar Heels fan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Rene Marie Bennick. His two daughters Kelcey Marie Reynolds and Kenzi May Pruitt (Zachary). He is survived by his sister’s Linda McDonald (Allen), and Sherry Benfield (Ned). He also leaves behind his brother Donald Bennick; grandchildren Avery Grace Reynolds, Aubrey Marie Reynolds, and Maddox Lee Reynolds. To family and friends Grady would have asserted to Psalm 91, Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
A Celebration of Life for Grady will be held at Parkwood Baptist Church in Concord on Saturday August 14 at 3:30 pm. Prior to the service, the family will be available at the church for anyone who would like to visit with them. Memorials in his memory are requested to 4862 Durneigh Drive Kannapolis, NC 28081. In lieu of flowers, donations or cards can be made to his wife Rene Bennick. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Northeast in the ICU for the wonderful care Grady received during his time there.
