Grace Evelyn Hawthorne passed in peace on January 29, 2021 from Covid. She was born on April 4th and is survived by her sons, her oldest son LeVarn Warren and her youngest son Jordan Hawthorne, and two elder sisters Joanne Franklin and Lakesha Schmidt. She is survived by her 5 grandchildren whom she adored named Ryan Mays, Jaylin Warren, April Warren, Jasmyn Hawthorne, Cerina Hawthorne. In her life, she was many things to many people, she was an accomplished Solar Tech in the Navy for 8 years. She was a school teacher for at risk youth at alternative school and a Sunday school teacher for Episcopal church. She was also a historian who volunteered with numerous organizations, but her most cherished role was Grandma. Grace spread love through her resilience and taught love through her words. Our hearts are heavy as we lay you to rest but souls flying high with your memory.
