When we, Carol and Wayne Light, came to Perimeter on the Sunday that the doors opened at the present location, it wasn’t very long before I began to to know about Gordon and know Gordon.  He was a dear man of God, never in a hurry, patient and sincere in his counsel.  In one way, he was like my beloved Wife Carol, never in our 54 years together did I ever hear her say a critical or unkind word about another person. Same for Gordon.  He looked for the good in everyone and every situation.  When Carol passed and I eventually moved to Florida, I missed seeing Gordon at church and catching up on the latest.  I grieved with him about life challenges impacting his family.  I always asked him about each one, and he was always optimistic in the face of difficulties.  When Jeff honored Joy and Gordon during a worship service, I was watching live from Florida, as I was yesterday, when Jeff honored him again as perhaps the second most important human in the success and outreach of Perimeter Church. He was a dear friend and I will miss him greatly.  Will pray for Joy and the family.  Wayne Light
