Gordon's obituary
What was most remarkable about Gordon and the legacy he leaves was his encounter with the Gospel of Jesus at a summer camp in Wisconsin. In particular, he was struck by the servant-leadership he saw and desired to emulate from the life of Christ. Whether making breakfast for school bus drivers, sitting with an employee’s spouse at the hospital or helping a single-parent afford a reliable car, his quiet and compassionate habits touched many lives during his work-life, and in what he called his “second career” as a lover of people through their local church.
After a season of physical struggle, he went home to be with the Lord on November 10, surrounded by his four children and his bride of 62 years who were singing and praying as he peacefully met his Savior.
