Gloria's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gloria Story. Born in 1947, this remarkable woman left us on April 6, 2025. Her loss is deeply felt and she will be remembered fondly for her wit, headstrong nature, love of laughter, and her immense capacity for love.
Gloria is survived by her loving children, Johnnie Evans, Richard Visor, and Jennifer Richards. She was a cherished grandmother to Rebecca, Niesha, Anastasia, Nicole, and Adrian. Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward Robinson, and her granddaughter, Renada Evans. We mourn their early partings and celebrate their reunion in the afterlife.
Gloria had her first child in 1964, and went on to bring more love into this world in 1969 and 1983. She found her life partner in Edward Robinson, whom she married in 2000. Together they built a beautiful family filled with love and respect.
A lady of many passions, Gloria loved the dulcet tones of Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald, was a fan of Court TV, and had a deep appreciation for ancient Egyptian and Asian art. She found joy in the sweet tastes of Caramel Nips, Probiotic Good Belly, and ice cream, and enjoyed spending her time gardening and visiting the theatre. Whether it was a boxing match or a trip to Nevada, Gloria knew how to embrace the good times.
Her favorite local spots included Two Jack's and Orpheum, a testament to her love for good food and captivating performances. Ever the advocate, she championed for voting and tenant's rights, causes close to her heart. Her vibrant personality was perfectly mirrored in her favorite color, Red.
In addition to her personal interests, she had the notable accomplishments of obtaining her GED and working to assist Gavin Newsom's bids for Mayor and Governor. Gloria's lessons of independence and ambition will always echo in the hearts of those she taught.
Her legacy is one of kindness and compassion, traits that she displayed effortlessly throughout her life. We are shocked and deeply saddened by her passing, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. However, as we remember Gloria, let us not dwell on her departure but instead celebrate her vibrant life and the love she shared with us.
