Gloria Lynn Steelman, 76, of Randolph, formerly of New Jersey, passed away Saturday (August 2, 2025) at Olean General Hospital.

Gloria was born June 13, 1949 in Somers Point, NJ, the daughter of the late Martin S. Steelman Sr. and Alice Theresa McElroy. She attended Pleasantville High School in New Jersey and worked as a Legal Secretary for the Hankin Sandman Law Firm in Atlantic City.

She enjoyed playing softball, boating and camping. She was a 4-h and girl-scout leader and had been a deacon at Absecon Presbyterian Church. During this time she volunteered doing mission work in 1000 Sticks, KY, working in Jean Webster’s kitchen, and other various church related projects. 

She is survived by two daughters; Danielle Steelman of Randolph and Christie L. Steelman of Galloway, NJ, 10 Grandkids- Amanda Reynolds(Alan) , Alexandria Hodgson(Jon) , Joshua Hodgson, Katherine Hodgson, Kevin Hodgson, Alexis Mateo, Aiden Rivera-Steelman, Arianna Rivera-Steelman and 3 Great grandkids-Riley Reynolds, Layla Reynolds and Amelia Schafer and a sister; Gale Steelman.

The family will have a Celebration of Life for her in New Jersey, on Saturday, August 23rd from 1pm-3pm at one of the GTAA cabins, at 265 Zurich Ave. Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215. All are welcome to attend, ashes to be spread at secondary location after. 

Arrangements are entrusted to the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph (the town she lived in when she passed)
