Gloria was born on April 26, 1935, in San Francisco, CA. She was the middle daughter out of three girls. Her parents were Clarance and Minnie Miller. She attended George Washington High School, in San Francisco, California.

Gloria was a dedicated and loving mother to all of her children: Deborah, Clinton, Donald, Carl, Dean, Brenda, and Kevin.

While living in San Francisco, CA, she was introduced to Jehovah's Witnesses when Sis. Paige knocked on her door and a Bible Study was started. Gloria moved to Redwood City, CA and met Ethel Simmons who continued to study the Bible with Gloria and aided her into becoming a dedicated baptized servant of Jehovah. Gloria was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on January 27, 1974.

Gloria gave her children a strong work foundation by starting her own cosmetology business which gave her the flexibility to be able to take care of her children and participate in the preaching ministry work telling others about her God, Jehovah. Gloria loved to plan skiing trips, skating parties, and gatherings for the young ones in the Kingdom Hall.  

While in Redwood City, Gloria met her longtime friend of over 50 years, Sharon Garig. Gloria and Sharon kept their promise to Ethel and remained friends until the day Gloria fell asleep in death.

In 1990, Gloria married a fellow faithful servant of Jehovah, Qudellis (Que) Oswego Martyn and moved to Hawaii. Gloria met Que through Larry Graham's mother, Dell.

After the death of her beloved husband, Que, Gloria moved back to California, where she continued her faithful service to Jehovah and continued to build long-lasting friendships.

Gloria passed away on June 22, 2025, at home in Vacaville, CA . Gloria was fun and full of life. She was beloved by all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered by a host of relatives and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Gloria is survived by the following family members; sister: Doris; children: Dean, Brenda, and Kevin; and grandchildren: Deanna, Denise, De'Shawn, Ke'Shawn, David, Michael, Alvie, Angie, Ariel, Whitney, Gloria, Dean Jr., Donald, Nicole, Natalie, and Vincent.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarance and Minnie; her sister: Marian; husband: Que; and children: Carl, Clint, Donald, and Deborah.
