In loving memory of our Mom and Grandma Gloria (Hess) Morrison, who passed away suddenly on September 11, 2023. She was the devoted wife of Richard; loving mother of Kathy, Glenn and wife Patti; and grandson, William. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage, faith and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Growing up, Mom was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or just a shoulder to cry on. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church. She participated in choir, Prayer Group, Sunday School and the Small Household Needs Bank. She instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bernice (Chapman) Hess and her sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Hayden Medling. Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Morrison; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Patti (Cole) Morrison; her only grandson, William Morrison; her sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Bill Brinson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is at 10 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Mount Hope United Methodist Church at 501 E. Mt. Hope Avenue, Lansing, MI 48910. Memorial services are at 11 AM  directly following visitation. A luncheon at the church will follow the service. All are invited to attend.
