Background

In the 1970's, before the founding of Voice Ministries, Rose Marie Jones was Gloria's piano teacher. However, many times the lessons were shortened due to Gloria's desire to learn more about Jesus than music. In 1980 Gloria moved to New York with her family. However, she continued the friendship and became involved in the ministry. Monthly, she received pages of the names of incarcerated individuals from around the United States who had received support through the connection to, and the publications of Rose Marie Jones at Voice Ministries. It was Gloria's joy to spend hours in prayer on behalf of those who had reached out with their requests for someone to go before the Lord with them. Contributions to this tiny, yet powerful not for profit ministry to those incarcerated, some with life-time sentences, would be a beautiful memorial to our sweet, little prayer warrior, Gloria Jean.
