Gloria's obituary
Gloria Dryden, a compassionate, warm, generous, and bright soul, born August 31, 1941, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025. Gloria was well-known for her love for her family, passion for animals, and her incredible ability to share kindness and positivity. She lived by the lessons of resilience, kindness, and empathy, often teaching "This too shall pass" and "Animals are people too".
She was married to her loving husband, George Dryden, in 1956, who survives her. Their love story was an example of enduring commitment. Gloria's strength and warmth also embraced her children Terry, Larry, and Joy Dryden, who survive her, cherishing precious memories of their mother.
She was a proud grandmother to Sara, Amanda, Amber, Jake, Sean, and Keely Dryden, who will remember her for her kindness and warmth. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Jackson. She was predeceased by her children Shellie and John Dryden. Their memories will always hold a special place in her heart.
Gloria moved to Texas in 1980 and became a devout fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She had a fondness for classic country music and enjoyed watching her favorite movie, Lonesome Dove. Her love for Sprite and Lindt chocolate balls was known to all who knew her, and her advocacy for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was a testament to her kind-hearted nature.
A legacy of kindness, giving, and compassion is what Gloria leaves behind. To know her was to love her, and she touched more people than she realized.
