Gloria's obituary

Gloria was born in Ciudad Delgado, San Salvador, El Salvador to parents Jeronimo Marenco Segovia and Carmen Arabella Araujo de Marenco. They had 4 children: Gloria Antonieta (oldest) and her siblings: Filomena del Carmen, Geronimo Ernesto and Leydeen Arabela. Gloria came to the US to study English; she met Guy Rice while working in the Mission at a taco truck called “Paco’s tacos.” Guy and Gloria married on 2/2/1978 and had 2 children: Guy Allen (deceased) and Kimberly. A long-time resident of San Francisco, CA; Gloria moved to Antioch, CA in 2018. She was an active member of her Church community and she loved the outdoors and connecting with people. She passed peacefully on June 3rd, 2024 surrounded by love. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly, grandson, Emmanuel and ex-husband and companion Guy Rice as well as her loving family in El Salvador. 

A memorial for Gloria is scheduled for Friday, June 14th 10am-2pm at Funeraria Bayview, in San Francisco, CA.
