Glenna's obituary

Glenna Lee Wagner (nee Lafferty)

May 21, 1956 – April 5, 2023

Glenna Wagner’s natural body was born on May 21, 1956. Her spiritual body was born on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

Glenna was born in Augusta, Georgia to John and Beulah Lafferty as the oldest of 7 children. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age and served Him faithfully throughout her life. Glenna married her high school sweetheart David in September of 1976, and they served the Lord together in various places around the country. Glenna earned her degree in music education from Cedarville University and taught in various roles wherever they moved. She also used her musical talents to play flute whenever given the opportunity. Glenna and David moved back to Wisconsin with their children Aaron and Alyssa in 1995 and loved being close to family and friends again. Glenna loved classical music, worship music, Peanuts comics, spending time with family and friends, reading among many other things. Glenna’s most cherished times in recent years were spent with her 5 boy grandchildren. Thank you to all of Glenna’s family and friends who have loved and supported her throughout her life, but especially these past two years since her husband went to heaven.

Glenna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years David, her father John, sister Janice, and father-in-law Raymond. She is survived by her loving mother Beulah Lafferty and mother-in-law Mary Ann Wagner. She was so proud of her children Aaron (Dawn) and Alyssa (Joel) and loved being Grandma to her boys Malachi, Levi, Simeon, Travis, and Dillon. Also survived by siblings David (Lisa), Paul (Debby), Steven (Carrie), Sarah (John), and Susan (Larry). Further survived by many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 14, at CrossWay Church NorthShore Campus, 2500 W Brown Deer Rd, Milwaukee, WI 53217. Visitation will be from 5-6 with the service to follow at 6 pm. Appetizers will be served during the visitation.
