My mother, Glenda passed on August 1,2020. Although I had a life insurance policy that we were told she was covered after they recieved the first payment, when I called them they informed me there was a 2 year contestability. Which means after I do gather up all the paper work they want they may or may not pay the $7500. So now I am faced with having to find a way of honoring my mother’s wishes on being cremated. I have gotten $650 already from a fundraiser I did on facebook, but that is not even close to enough. I am on disability and barely get by month to month. I had gotten a quote from a company that said they would do the cremation for 1300$ but when they sent the bill it was 2000$. So now I am way short to have a cremation and a memorial service that shows what a truly amazing woman she was. I feel so awe full that I can’t even do this for her, and I am so scared that the state will dispose of her before I can gather the funds.
