Gladys's obituary

Gladys Debra Taylor, 83, a resident of Greenville, MS, passed away on November 15th at the Delta Regional Medical Center: Emergency Room. She was born in Montrose, MS on January 16th, 1940.

She spent her working career as a renowned cook for Mary Mahoney’s restaurant for several years. She enjoyed traveling with family, playing in her garden, and was known for her many delectable dishes.

Gladys was married to Louis Charles Taylor, Sr who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tami Denise Bratton and three sons Deryl Anthony Taylor, Micheal O’Neal Taylor, and Benjamin Dale Taylor.

Gladys is survived by 2 brothers and 6 sisters: Mattie Lee Walker, Rosetta Crumbley, Vicie Metrine Posey, Bertha Mae Duvernay, Benjamin George Brown, Ina Jean Randall, Doris Browne, and Johnnie Earl Brown. She is also survived by 3 children: Louis Charles Taylor Jr, Lynda Joyce Jones, Gina Sudduth Bradley. Additionally, Gladys survived by 16 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25th, 2023, at Mortimer- National Funeral Home, at 11:00 am. Visitation will start at 10:00 am.
