Gladys Elizabeth Snyder passed away on January 16, 2022 at the age of 94. She was the loving mother of Kathy Moriarity Myers and the late Carol Bodnar and Nancy Lawlor. Gladys was recently widowed by her loving husband, David F. Snyder and prior to that Albert Murphy and Joseph Bodnar. She was the cherished grandmother to Christopher and Ryan Lawlor and beloved great grandmother to Monroe and Vera Lawlor.
Gladys was born on April 10, 1927 in Butler, Pennsylvania. The family moved to the Detroit area in the mid-30s where Gladys helped her mother raise her 11 siblings. Gladys married and was a devoted wife and mother to her three daughters and the entire family. Gladys enjoyed music and was a musician herself as well as enjoyed theatre, concerts and traveling.
A memorial service will be held for Gladys on March 19, 2022 at 10:30 am at S. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2500 Edsel, Trenton, MI 48183.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
