Gladys Metzger passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, after facing ongoing health challenges with strength and grace. Born on October 21, 1941, Gladys lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a flair all her own. She was known for her quirky spirit and was proudly George Strait's biggest fan, a title she wore with joy and devotion.

Gladys was predeceased by her father, Fred Metzger, and her mother, Louise Metzger. She is survived by her loving partner, Jack Lichtman; her son, Duane, and his wife, Denise; her cherished grandchildren, Emily and Sarah; her daughter, Kerri; her sister, Patricia Smith; and her nieces, Lori Yates and JoAnn Kuenbaker. Gladys's love for George Strait, God, and her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
