Gladys's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Gladys Lobo, a woman of remarkable spirit and style. Born on Nov 24, 1925, she lived a vibrant life filled with service, laughter, and an unmistakable sense of fashion. Her passing on Jun 1, 2024, leaves our hearts heavy, but the memory of her has resolved us to celebrate her extraordinary life.
Gladys was an invaluable pillar of her family and the community. She was known for being incredibly helpful, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Her jovial personality made her a joy to be around, and she was always the life of the party. She was also a great listener who offered comfort, advice, and support with unparalleled empathy and understanding. Her distinctive style, always nicely dressed with sunglasses and a scarf, added a dash of glamour to her charismatic personality.
One of her most significant accomplishments was her career as a registered nurse. She served her community in Key West for most of her life before moving to Pembroke Pines, Florida. Her dedication to helping others and her passion for nursing have left a lasting legacy in both the communities she served.
She had a particular love for scarves. Any memories of Gladys are woven with the sight of her colorful, vibrant scarves that she wore with such elegance. This love for scarves was part of her unique identity and is a sweet memory she has left behind as her legacy.
Gladys is survived by her loving daughters Mayra Iglesia, and Lourdes Lobo, and her grand children, Jessica Davila and Albert Diaz. She has 5 great grand children: Anthony 19, Austen 11, Jace 8, Abbie 7 and Amaya 6, whom she enjoyed and loved dearly.
