Gladys's obituary

Gladys Keeton, 78, of Clifton, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, July 25, 2009. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, in the Clifton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Clifton Cemetery.

Mrs. Keeton was born and raised in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. At age 18, she married an American Airman, Herman D. "Bill" Keeton. They moved to Clifton 32 years ago. Gladys was known by so many other kids as "grandma" because they knew that they were always welcome at her home. She was dearly loved and will be missed by not only her family, but many, many friends.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, Richard George Tilly and Mildred Jesse LaShane Tilly; three brothers, Richard, Charlie, and Gordon; two sisters, Phyllis and Elizabeth; her husband, Bill Keeton; and four of her grandchildren, Kristi Gonzales, Darrel Joe Keeton, Eric Keeton and Nicholas Shane Hill, four special angels.

She is survived by her five daughters, Libby Hill and husband, Billy, of Mart, Linda Keeton of Mart, Wanda Page and husband, Rick, of Farmington, N.M., Peggy Rice and husband, Chris, of Bruceville-Eddy, and Elaine Albrecht and husband, Troy, of Garland; two sons, Billy Keeton and wife, Twilla, of Clifton, and Dennis Keeton and wife, Doreen, of Chalk Bluff; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are her grandchildren, Billy Hill, Randy Hill, Steven Page, Shane Keeton, Jason Rice and Zac Keeton.
