Girard (Gary) O’Brien passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 80. Gary was born on 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska to Joseph and Opal (Beckwith) O’Brien. He grew up in Gallup, NM and also lived in New Brighton, MN. , Glendale, AZ. , California and Fort Worth, TX. Gary worked his entire career at Honeywell working as an electrical engineer. He had many fond memories of working on Boeing aircraft.

He is survived by his sister Jan Bergman, his ex-wife Dina, and his three children: Michelle Schimek (Robert Schimek), Kevin O’Brien (Anna O’Brien) and Gregg O’Brien (Denise O’Brien). He had 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Larry O’Brien.

There will be no funeral service at this time. A celebration of life ceremony will be scheduled later this year.
