Gini's obituary

Gini (Virginia) Hendrix,  departed this world on April 12, 2024.  Gini was born to Mike and Rosetta Paumen March 28, 1975 at Shepard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX. Gini spent much of her early childhood on bases around the world, This began her love of travel.  Gini was a woman of many passions, with a humor and warmth that made her everyone's favorite person. Her dry humor and sharp sarcasm were part of her charm, and her advice to always try to learn at least one new thing a day, will remain an inspiration for many.

Gini is survived by her two loving sons J R and A J Hendrix, who she cherished deeply. She was predeceased by her beloved father, Mike, who had a strong influence on her life as well as her Aunt Charolette, Uncle Albert and grandparents.

Gini was a woman of eclectic tastes. An avid fan of pickles and hot wings, she also had a particular fondness for Dr. Pepper. She had a consuming passion for the written word, with a library too extensive to list. Her musical taste was defined by the soulful sounds of Adele, but her entertainment preferences were varied, with a penchant for crime shows and the musical CATS. She was a dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers, and enjoyed card games as a favorite pastime.

Gini was also known for her love of crafting, creating beautiful and intricate pieces that reflected both her patience and her artistic spirit. Her favorite vacation destination was the rugged beauty of Colorado, with its breathtaking landscapes serving as an inspiration. However, Gini's interests extended beyond just her hobbies. She was deeply committed to helping people, and worked tirelessly to make a difference in their lives. This spirit of service was culminated in her significant accomplishment of becoming a nurse.

Her favorite color was green, reflecting her love for life and vibrancy. Gini will be remembered not just for her interests and accomplishments, but for the person that she was - funny, sarcastic, and above all, deeply caring. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts, but her spirit and influence will continue to live on in the lessons she taught and the lives she touched.
