Hey all,
Thank you for visiting this page in memory of my beloved mother, Ginell Harris.
When my mom went into the hospital on April 1st—something she had done many times before—I didn’t expect this time would be different. But by April 18th, she had entered hospice care, and just days later, she passed away peacefully. Though I had some time to prepare, my heart wasn’t ready to say goodbye.
As her only child, I’ve been handling all the arrangements alone—planning her funeral and celebration of life from Maryland while services will be held in our hometown of Youngstown, Ohio. I’m currently on FMLA leave, which means I’m not receiving paychecks during this time, adding an additional layer of stress as I navigate these emotional and logistical challenges.
I’m raising funds to help cover funeral costs, travel, and the repast meal that will follow—an event my mother would have wanted to be full of warmth, family, and love.
